 Suzuki & Burton proudly present: the Freeride Design Competition with prizes that are worth making an effort and being creative! The Freeride Design competition is based on the concept of the Burton Series 13™ program. You get the chance to create your personal board design, submit it and eventually win a customized Series 13™ board … and a brand-new Suzuki Grand Vitara Freeride in the design of your board-graphics! A wicked 4WD car featuring extras such as a roof-rack or auxiliary heating.

Who can enter: all European citizens at least 18 years old.
Prizes: Suzuki Grand Vitara, diesel, 5-door and Burton snowboard in the winning design
Burton Sportartikel GmbH and Suzuki are launching a design competition on the freeride website. Creatively-minded website visitors are being requested to design a snowboard, and their designs will be judged in a combination of public online voting and an expert jury. The best designer will receive a snowboard and a Suzuki Grand Vitara - each in his or her own winning design.
The competition is open to all European citizens who would like to demonstrate their creativity, are at least 18 years old. There is no entrance fee. Employees of the two organizers, Suzuki International Europe GmbH and Burton Sportartikel GmbH, employees of the implementing agency Rebel Media / Goodguy and other persons who are involved in the planning and implementation of the competition are not eligible to participate.

A design template is provided on the competition website. When they have used it, the participants can upload their designs. Only uploaded designs will be judged. Each participant may submit any number of designs. The designs cannot be submitted by fax, post or e-mail.
All registered users can rate the snowboard designs on a scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (awesome).
The qualification is divided into 3 heats:
Heat 1: 15 November – 31 December 2007
Heat 2: 1 January – 31 January 2008
Heat 3: 1 February – 28 February 2008
In each heat, the Top 5 designs which have received the highest rating from other users win a Burton Goodie Bag and are qualified for the finals.
A design takes part within the heat it has been submitted. If you like you could upload the same design again in the next heat. However, it makes more sense to improve it before. The results of the public online voting will be announced in the news section of this website.
Additionally, we will give away exclusive Burton Promo T-Shirts to those who participate in the voting. Winners will be selected in a random drawing.
